Prescription Molded Orthotics
With approximately 80% of the population suffering from some form of lower limb bio-mechanical dysfunction, there are a multitude of conditions which can result. Often the root causes of such conditions can be found in excessive pronation of the feet.
Footscan™ technology enables us to accurately assess foot, ankle and lower limb mechanical problems that we commonly see in the clinic. This diagnostic information allows us to develop the best solution for the individual patient.
When required we are able to custom build and mould prescription orthotics in the clinic and fit them to the type of shoe that you use, weather it be a business shoe, trainer or teenager’s skate shoe or school shoe. We can reassess and modify over time to enhance healthy growth and development.
Prevention is far better than cure!
Pronation does not occur in isolation – it can cause a chain reaction of muscular and structural misalignment, resulting in painful conditions being experienced in the ankles, knees, legs, hip and lower back. By treating the cause of the pain (i.e. pronation) with custom molded Orthotics, and realigning the lower limb to its optimal functioning position, painful symptoms can be alleviated.
